Character
Golf and beach, side by side
Guadalmina lies at the western edge of Marbella, west of San Pedro de Alcántara [2]. The Río Guadalmina marks the border with Estepona [2].
It has two halves. Guadalmina Baja runs from the golf course down to the sea. Guadalmina Alta rises north of the coast road, into the hills [1,3].
It grew from the 1960s around the golf club and the Guadalmina hotel on the beach [4]. Streets are wide and tree-lined. Plots and villas are large in Baja, more varied in Alta [2,3].
Private security patrols and CCTV cover much of Baja [5]. Some schemes are gated; many villas have their own systems [2,3]. Price per m² to confirm.
Green & outdoors
Fairways down to the sea
The South Course threads through the streets of Baja, with sea views [2,5]. Beaches are quiet, with views to Gibraltar [2].
Golf
Two courses on site
The Real Club de Golf Guadalmina has two 18-hole courses, North and South, plus an academy and clubhouse [2]. The South Course opened in 1959; the North was added in 1973 [5]. It has hosted the Spanish Championship [2].

Everyday life
A real town five minutes away
Guadalmina Alta has a commercial area by the golf club entrance, with supermarkets, pharmacies and restaurants [1]. San Pedro covers the rest, five minutes east [1,4].
Many residents live here all year, including Spanish and international families [2,3].
