Getting around
Drive times
Parts of the valley are walkable, which is unusual for Marbella [1,2]. For most trips you still need a car. Times vary with the sub-area.

Character
A valley of golf courses
Nueva Andalucía is the inland area behind Puerto Banús. The AP-7 bounds it to the north and San Pedro de Alcántara to the west [1]. Four golf courses share one valley floor, so it is known as the Golf Valley [1].
It is a patchwork of sub-areas. Aloha is the original 1970s area around the Aloha course. Las Brisas is the most expensive. La Cerquilla is a small gated enclave. El Paraíso del Golf and Magna Marbella are mainly apartments [1].
Most streets are open. A few enclaves are gated with security [1]. Check the street, not just the area name.
Housing ranges from 1980s apartments to new contemporary villas on the Las Brisas course [1]. Muse’s index gives a median asking price of €8,652/m² for residences listed at €1.5M or more in August 2026 [1]. These are asking prices, not sales prices.
Green & outdoors
Green fairways, flat streets
The landscape is shaped by the courses: fairways, lakes and mature gardens. The hills of La Concha rise behind to confirm.
The flat grid makes walking and cycling between complexes possible in parts [1].
Golf
Four courses in one valley
Las Brisas, Aloha, Los Naranjos and La Quinta are all in the valley [1]. From Aloha, the other clubs are 2–8 minutes away [2].
Living by a course is not membership. Each club sets its own joining rules and fees [1,2].
Schools
International schools
| School | By car | Curriculum |
|---|---|---|
| Aloha College, El Ángel | 1–5 min | British; IGCSE, A-Level, IB [2,4,5] |
| Swans International School | ≤10–15 min | British and IB [1,5] |
| Laude San Pedro International College | ≤10–15 min | British and Spanish [1,5] |
| British International School of Marbella | 10–15 min | [1] |
| Swedish School of Marbella | to confirm | [3] |
School-run times depend on traffic and on the sub-area.
Everyday life
Daily life without the motorway
Centro Plaza has the Saturday market, which has run since the 1980s [1]. Supermarkets, cafés and services are spread through the valley [1,2].
Many residents use Puerto Banús for dinner and shopping rather than driving into Marbella [1]. Tikitano beach club at Costalita is a family favourite [1].
