Character
Built around a 1965 course
Río Real lies about 5 km east of Marbella centre, between the Río Real river and the A-7 [2]. It grew around the Río Real golf course, designed by Javier Arana and opened in 1965 [1,2].
It is low density. Most homes are detached villas on 800–2,000 m² plots, many on the fairways [2]. Apartment schemes include Lomas de Río Real and Greenlife Village [2].
Agents use the name loosely. It can overlap with Los Monteros, Las Lomas del Pozuelo or Bahía de Marbella. Check the exact street and community [1]. Price per m² to confirm.
Green & outdoors
Golf to the sea, and a river
The course runs down towards the sea [3]. The Río Real river corridor is a protected area (ZEC) [1]. The old Torre de Río Real watchtower stands on the coast [1].
Golf
A historic course on site
Río Real Golf has 18 holes and is open to the public every day [1]. Santa Clara Golf, an 18-hole par-71 course, is nearby [1]. Marbella Golf & Country Club is a few minutes away [4].
Schools
International schools
| School | By car | Curriculum |

| English International College (EIC) | ~8 min | British, ages 3–18 [2,5] |

Golf at home. Town next door.
An ALDI on Calle Bogey covers daily shopping [1]. The Trocadero Arena beach club is on Río Real beach [1,5]. For more, Marbella town and La Cañada are minutes away [3,5].
